Tofino Paddler's Inn

Wonderful inn on the Tofino waterfront just steps from the water taxi to Meares Island. The shared kitchen offered opportunities to connect with fellow travellers, and the porch is the best spot for sun sets. Another great reason to stay is Tofino Sea Kayaking in the same building. They offer several great excursions!

Honestly, the price and location are amazing for Tofino. The staff are helpful, the owner was very nice and on the property often. The shared amenities are decent, and the room we stayed in was clean and roomy. The complimentary coffee and patio downstairs were top notch. Our only downfall was the noise from 11pm-3am coming from the bar/club across the street as it was a weekend when we stayed over. Earplugs were provided and appreciated, but we didn't know about the issue in advance.

This was the first stop on my trip and....what a start! The owner is a super nice fellow with a joyful attitude! It's contagious! The view from the seaside room was breathtaking and the rooms were very nice and clean, as were the common kitchen and the bathrooms. If you don't have a seaside room, don't worry. We had access to the porch at the cafe downstairs all day, and had exclusive access to it past 9PM. Having a glass of wine there is a great way to end the day! Extra thank you for warning me about the road closures a week in advance. Had I not changed my plans to account for that, I would have been in trouble. If you're ever in Tofino, this is the place to stay!

Had a nice stay here for 3 nights, the bed was comfy and the bathrooms/kitchen had everything you would need. The sound definitely carries easily room to room but luckily everyone else staying there was respectful to the other rooms. The complimentary coffee and patio downstairs were great too. A nice cheap(ish) option compared to a lot of the rest of the town, we'd stay here again.

Wonderful experience! We loved the shared kitchen, which allowed us to meet other fellow travelers as we prepared our morning coffee and light bites. The coffee shop downstairs has a great vibe (harborview coffee). The deck out back can be accessed by visitors any time. Lastly, the rooms are quaint but very well designed with everything you could possibly need for cozy nights’ stay. We really hope to come back!

I would give this place 100 stars if possible. Blown away by the accommodation. There are 2 bathrooms and a kitchen for the 6 rooms. If you don’t mind that then you’ll be in paradise. Everything was extremely clean - the views are second to none. We watched a multitude of bald eagles and their offspring fishing and flying in front of us while sitting on the rear balcony. The owner is such a friendly, welcoming and warm man. Location right in the heart of Tofino on the water. Incredible place - loved everything about it. Best kept secret accommodation wise in Tofino.

Quaint and historic inn located by the waterfront, in downtown Tofino. The Tofino Paddler's Inn is the oldest hotel in Tofino, dating back to 1920, and you will see evidence of its charming history in its architecture and decor. The bedroom, shared bathroom, and shared kitchen were clean, cozy, and comfortable. There is a cafe on the first floor, where you can get free drip coffee and 10% off espresso-based drinks, and the cafe has a patio with a stunning view of the waterfront and the mountains beyond! The location is excellent, within walking distance of many restaurants, cafes, and shops. The only downside is that there is no parking on the premises. You will have to park in the street (paid parking from 9am-6pm, 2.75$/h as of May 2025) or at a public parking lot a few blocks away.

We’ve just had the most amazing stay at The Paddlers Inn! The place has so much charm and the view is unbeatable. We stayed in room 5 for two nights and then room 3 for our final night. Room 5 was really cute but room 3 just has the most beautiful view. Both rooms were clean and the beds were so comfortable! The cafe downstairs is full of lovely, knowledgable staff and you get free drip coffee or a discount on other orders. The deck is accessible for guests at all times and we had a gorgeous sunset takeaway and wine on our second night - best restaurant in Tofino hands down. More so, on our first morning enjoying the coffee and view from the deck, we saw some cheeky otters! Would absolutely stay again. Thank you!
